Nemeta Copyright Policy
Nemeta.org is the on-line portal to a non-profit educational organization founded exclusively on the work of author and mythologist, John Lamb Lash. All funds received through membership, enrollment, and donations are dedicated to maintenance of the Sophianic School of Arts and Sciences. The founder receives no salary or profit from these activities.
The Admin for Nemeta is diligent in researching copyrights for images used throughout the platform. In cases where copyright status cannot be determined, and may be in question, “Permission pending” is indicated. The Admin welcomes anyone whose copyright has been infringed to contact Nemeta and request removal or payment. In some cases, Nemeta will pay for use of an image. Otherwise, upon objection, the image will be immediately removed.
Copyright infringement policy at Nemeta relies on the usual definition of FAIR USE FAIR USE (17 U.S.C. § 107):
The fair use of a copyrighted work, including such use by reproduction in copies or phonorecords or by any other means specified , for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching (including multiple copies for classroom use), scholarship, or research, is not an infringement of copyright.
