In its totality, the content of NEMETA draws from the total creative output of John Lamb Lash over two periods of time: Pre-Terma and Post-Terma. The moment in time dividing these periods is April 2008.

PRE-TERMA

A considerable selection of John’s accomplished work previous to 2008 finds its way into the curriculum of NEMETA. Included in this material are selections from his published but out-of-print books The Seeker’s Handbook (1991), Twins and the Double (1993), The Hero (1995), as well as unpublished manuscripts such as Dendera Decoded, which is earmarked for release by Terma Publishing. The curriculum will feature excerpts from these writings showcased in relation to later work, making for a relevant and coherent presentation of otherwise widely scattered and disparate content.

Additionally, there is other unpublished works which add depth and perspective to the perhaps familiar material drawn from metahistory.org. For instance, learning path 4, Gnosis Today, might eventually feature excerpts from the 1000-page manuscript Lord of the Clones, completed in March 2000. That ms. provided the groundwork for what came to publication in November 2007 in Not in His Image. Some chapters from this ms. will be integrated into existing essays on metahistory.org which are being systematically withdrawn as conversion to NEMETA proceeds. So, learning path 4, among others, will be enriched by the addition of related work from the pre-terma period.

Another example of pre-Terma material is Translations from the Andromedan, a long poem in five sections with extensive footnotes that describe the prehistory of the prehistory of the Anthropos, and offer some charming glimpses of life on M31 in the mirror world to earth. John began this poetic work as an experiment in the genre of the “open sequence,” the signature genre of the great and enduring poetry of modernism. In learning path 7, Poetic Craft, JLL resumes his discovery of this genre through his association with a college professor, C. F. Terrell. That auspicious connection in his destiny gives occasion to a vibrant spectrum of poetics comprising theme and technique, rendered in several sets or modules in Poetic Craft. For those who wish to learn how to write genuinely crafted poetry, this is the classroom to attend.

Additionally, Translations from the Andromedan is earmarked for production in book form as explained under PROJECTS.

Other pre-Terma work includes the vast body of astronomical studies leading to John’s unique form of astrology, which he calls forensic astronomy. The magnum opus presenting this method, originally self-published in 1999 as Quest for the Zodiac, will hae to be revised for release through Terma Publishing. In a parallel course of action, NEMETA will eventually link to CELESTICS (or StarBase), presented as a Vocation for those who wish to learn this astonishing method of reading human destiny and defining transpersonal purpose. The goal currently in sight is to offer training in Celestics as well as an online program for receiving an entry-level Star Base interpretation of one’s natal pattern. Eventually, Celestics will run as an astrological consulting business/franchise, a spin-off of the Sophianic School.

Another example: the Gnostic commentaries on the Nag Hammadi Codices originally presented on metahistory.org were all written pre-Terma. This again is a large body of writings, yet to be completed. Volume One might be released through Terma Publishing, followed by Volume Two if John manages to complete it. As in other instances, the big “IF” depends on editorial assistance and adequate team effort and resources to produce and promote the book. John counts on the incentive he will derive from not working alone on the writing, and knowing there is a team in place to get the book out — otherwise, he is just writing in a void, a bubble, as happened through many years.

You may wonder, how can material such as these commentaries be offered in learning path 4 and also be converted to book form? Well, there is a parallel activity in play: as the lessons are released in sets, Gnosis today 101, 102, 103, etc, with the material amplified and reframed for easier “consumption,” the same material may be rendered into book form using InDesign. As the curriculum advances, the material is withdrawn from metahistory.org, thus no longer accessible for free to the general public. Also, following this tactic to its conclusion, JLL may eventually opt for a situation in which some works of NEMETA are only available in pre-printed packets or book form, thus migrating his legacy entirely out of the IT/electronic milieu of cyberspace.

The Alternative History of the Grail on metahistory.org is also slated for conversion into class units (learning path 3, Grail Studies) to be integrated with a considerable body of unpublished material and new recorded lessons…. Again, in a parallel development (IDEALLY!), this material will come out as a book from Terma Publishing.

Bear in mind, also, that the recovery and reconstruction of the sacred narrative, the Fallen goddess Scenario, is also pre-Terma. Not in His Image itself is Pre-Terma!!!, having been published in November 2006, eighteen months earlier. A reframed presentation of the development of the FGS will be presented in learning path 2, Cosmology. John is currently at work on FGS 5.0, guaranteed to generate a shock of delight when it appears.

There is more to cover in the pre-Terma content that will be absorbed selectively into the curriculum of NEMETA, but you can get the general idea from these notes.

POST-TERMA (from age 62)

The post-Terma material begins with a unit in learning path 6, Living Myth: the revision of the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice presented in written and spoken form. Some of you may have come across this item on metahistory.org, so you would perhaps recall how the story goes. As far as JLL himself knows, this rewrite is the only attempt ever made by a mythologist to revise an ancient myth and give it a different ending.

Along with the revised myth, there is the initial Lydia material (vow, recapitulations), and a few other odd items, such as The Tantra of Tenderness formerly on KaliRising.org, that slightly predate August 2008. Yet they belong to the turbulent vortex of the Terma. In editing and reframing this material, most of the obsessive personal disclosure of that time will be eliminated, leaving the core message to stand on its own terms, transpersonally.

The outpouring of creativity in the ten years (now up to 2024, 16 years) since the Terma is extensive. It would be tedious to list it all here in detail, but  principally it encompasses all the writings of Planetary Tantra, the Gaian Navigation Experiment (GNE) which appears as a vocation in NEMETA, the Gnostic investigation of the Mandela Effect (YouTube Mandela Effect Decoded) to be edited, streamlined, and reframed for learning path 10, Mythophrenia, the Nousletters and Nousflashes to be broken down and redistributed where they fit into the 12-path curriculum… and still more that does not even come to mind as these words are written.

Finally, there is Severed Rose, John’s attempt at a quasi-autobiographical account of the long trajectory of mystical experience leading to the revelation of the Organic Light and the eruption of the Terma. See Projects for proposed release of this material in book form. Severed Rose is a example of the condition of metahistory.org, contrasted to the clarified and amplified structure of NEMETA now underway. Selections from Severed Rose might be featured in learning path 9, Biomysticism, as well as 3, Grail Studies, and 6, Living Myth. In each locale, the selected material will be framed so that it becomes intelligible within the overall curriculum.
