16 Planetary Tantra

Brave Seeker, recognize and claim
the dreaming power that brings you here!

Gotta make your own rules, child
Gotta break your own chains
The dreams that possess you
Can blossom and bless you
Or run you insane

§ December 2025. This course landing page, accessible to anyone, introduces the basics of Planetary Tantra. I am currently in the process of reorganization of the talks and texts on PT written since October 2008 (previously on metahistory.org). There is a lot of material to edit and arrange. In the meantime, this landing page is where to start if you are interested in learning about PT. The unit/lessons in the panel below are accessible to Nemeta members only. Some links below are not yet on free public release. §

Planetary Tantra (PT) is a practice proposed by the Maine Professor, JLL, sixteen years ago. Although the scope of PT is vast and its foundations are deep, the essential practice is simple and user-friendly. This practice is non-ritualistic and autogenic. Initially defined (metahistory.org, 2008) as “interactive magic with Gaia,” PT can also be described a biofeedback technique for connecting to the mother planet, given that the planet is understood to be a living physical entity identical to the superorganism defined in the Gaia Hypothesis of Lovelock and Margulis is the 1970s. The deep background of PT is the legacy of the Gnostic movement and the Mystery Schools of antiquity. That legacy (restored and upgraded in Not in His Image) identifies the divine presence embodied in the mother planet as the Wisdom Goddess, Sophia. Hence the honorific title, Gaia-Sophia.

First Impressions of the Shakti Cluster (Hans Carlsson YT, unlisted video)

The Shakti Cluster is the hands-on tool for the practice of PT. This 20-minute video explains how it looks and how to approach it, before learning how it works. Call it an icon or a mandala, as you like. The SC is actually an app of the kind you would upload to a smartphone and use in your hand.  The buttons are similar to icons on  the app that would press to access different functions or programs.

In totality, the practice of PT includes five exercises:

  1. Learn the Fallen Goddess Scenario
  2. Do the Gaian Tantric Vow – cording optional
  3. Follow the lunar cycles or Dakini Shifts
  4. Use the SC app
  5. Learn applied noetics

The order given is a good way to proceed, although the practice is not linear or hierarchal with one step depending on the next. They all cohere in dynamic unity so that practice of one exercise, whenever you do it, or how many times you do it, enhances the other practices. The FGS comes first because it is the narrative frame for PT. To practice interactive magic (autogenics) with the Mother Source, you have to know her story. Next comes the Gaian Tantric Vow which you can perform alone or with another person or others and more than once, if you like. This is the only exercise in PT with a quasi-ritualistic look, including the practice of cording. Meditation, mantras, ritual acts and recitations are entirely absent from PT.

Here is the text of the Gaian Tantric Vow:

Gaian Tantra Vow Text

To perform the Vow, you read the text (using I or we) and after the closing line, “To You we pronounce this vow,” you read silently or recite from memory, but do not speak aloud, a concise statement of the vow you have composed to stateyour committment to bond with the Mother Source, Gaia-Sophia. It is like a personal rendering of a marriage vow. Do not use the words serve or service or sacrifice in your vow.  Simply state your intention to bond with Gaia-Sophia and  handle her power in the most direct way you can. Express, if you can, how you intend to consecrate your life to the designs and purposes of the Earth Mother. You can revise and repeat the vow more than once, and change it as you see fit.

Once you have pronounced (in sub-vocal language) your vow, prick your thumb with a thorn, let it bleed, and press it into the ground. This act of iron-bonding with the earth completes the exercise.

Optionally, you may “perform” a cording within the enactment of the Vow. Look at the examples here: https://www.youtube.com/@KalikaWarParty

Cording: A Gaian Tantric Rite explains the basics, and The Kalika Lethal Strike illustrates the technique of cording more completely. I strongly advise to do the GTV first with no cording, then go on to learn how to do a cording, if it pleases you. Do not by any means  even consider executing a lethal strike until you have mastered the art of cording and grounded yourself in the full set of practices.  (The vid on the lethal strike intentionally excludes and obscures certain key details of technique for an effective cording dedicated to kill. It illustrates the technique but it does not precisely instruct how to conduct it.)

The Sunset Crescent

1 and 2 are the groundwork for PT. 3 is a practice in linear time based on observation of the lunar cycles of 28-29 days. Each of the 18 dots on the SC app identifies a distinct frequency in the full-spectrum field of telluric forces of the Earth Mother. The 10 frequences of the oval are terrestrial, earth-bound, and the others in the florette, 11 – 15 are ambient, atmospherically generated. The remaining three dots, 16, 17, and 18 have special, overriding functions like the config.sys command of a program. The configure the other 15 frequencies. To following the lunar cycles, you begin by visually observing the crescent moon in the west after sunset. This is the signal for the start of a Dakini Shift when one of the 16 frequencies dominates the field. The most elaborate factor of PT is learning how to receive these frequencies, and that takes time and determination to follow the cycles, month by month, and learn the signatures, themes, memes, and lore of the Devatas of the SC. Devata : radiation, emanation.

4, Learning to use the app comes out of 3, tracking the Dakini shifts. How to do so is not written in an inclusive and comprehensive way in the material for PT. It is distributed in many different places.

Dog Zen

I propose that Gnosticism is the study of a lost tradition of spirituality and as such, it is a scholarly undertaking. Gnosis today is another matter. The application and upscaling of what can be found in the Gnostic Greek/Coptic source materials is applied noetics. This is the study of how to use your mind in the way it is designed to work. Mind is the instrument of your intelligence. If you do not know how your mind works, you cannot use it correctly, consistently, or with clear purpose; hence, you cannot benefit optimally from your own intelligence. Dog Zen presents the distillation of applied noetics. It is accessory to PT for obvious reasons, but it also stands alone. You can learn applied noetics on its own terms, independent from the other 4 features of PT.

Planetary Tantra is real-time, in-life experimental program derived from, The Terma of Gaia Awakening. In effect, it is the delivery system for the Terma.
